What is everyone doing to provide a cost effective manual transfer for a portable generator set up when there is no main circuit breaker panel. We recently moved to the 2023 code cycle and have to put service discos outside so are now using main lug only panels inside the house. We used to always use interlock kits at the main breaker panels inside the house

I’ve changed the interiors of the same brand out for a main breaker interior. A lot of the manufacturers use the same box for MLO vs main breaker. Just buy the complete panel, use the interior and cover. Breakers are usually in the same position, so pretty much a direct replacement.
