I'm a journeyman electrician in the USA and I want to use my skills in humanitarian efforts. Never knowing where the next humanitarian need will pop up, I'm searching for courses and certifications allowing me the ability to perform any electrical needs internationally. I've searched and searched and figured I'd try here. Anyone know of such a license?
Best

FWIW I am regularly assessed for an international safety passport.

Never heard of one, and I doubt very seriously there is one.
Different places have so many different rules.
Puerto Rico reciprocates with many states, Belize is easy to work with also to get a license with the PUC there. Its called a wiremans license.. 90% of the services I saw there were ran in plumbing pipe with the short 90s and 45s. I seriously doubt any licensed electrician can screw up in another country such as these.
Only two areas I have any knowledge of..

I have no doubt not only there isn't such a critter, I seriously doubt one ever will be created. At least not in the next 200 years or so.

first, I think its awesome to use your skills serving others in need.

second, no, I doubt there is any International license.

My best advice is to study the local rules of any area of particular interest to you. Electrical theory is universal; I have no doubt many of us could go anywhere in the world and be competent, its just a matter of learning the local trade lingo and code specifics that apply to your installation.

That's a noble gesture, but from what I've seen of many countries, if you have any competence at all you would only be wasting your time.

??
What is that?
like a regular US passport?
No, an international one. I've used it in a few countries like South Africa. I think France is something similar - but they are the most bureaucratic nation I have ever encountered

one of the problems in many of those countries is that they can't get the correct materials to work with so a job must be done with whatever is available (often that's not much).
