Lighting for egress. When an emergency happens you need to be able to see the way out. You definitely need separate conduits

I know what egress lighting is but didn't understand what Infinity was trying to convey.

EM lighting circuits don't have to be in pipe( EMT, RMC etc.) per Article 700? I don't see that referenced.

Correct they can also be in MC cable. Regardless of the wiring method they need to be separated from the normal lighting.
