I've been trying to determine what would be required for the electrical installation of a 240V 1-phase portable irrigation pump located along a river.
Bascilly we are to install a 30A 250V recpt (twist lock) appox. 20 feet from water's edge. (This area is subject to flooding) So as needed a portable pump can fill water to a holding pond (There will be a float switch installed in the holding pond so pump can run unattended.)
I've read ARTICLE 682 Natural and Artificially Made Bodies of Water, until I'm less certain of exact requirements of this installation then when I started.
Is GFCI protection required?
Is insulated egc required?
What height would this recpt need to be mounted?
Thanks in advance guys!
