Hello all,
I have had an inspector saying grounding bushing is required when I have a 1/2” EMT conduit which is run externally and terminates into a fused A/C disconnect that has 1/2,3/4,&1” concentric KOs on the bottom of the disconnect. This EMT is installed from main panel and is run through 1 1900 4” square box. Inside fittings are set screw and exterior are standard compression type. This is residential power so 120/240 volt system. He states both 250.92 and 250.97 as violations but I disagree. First off, 250.97 applies to systems over 250 volt. Secondly 250.92 allows for listed fittings “made up tight” to properly bond EMT. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

agree... inspector is incorrect.. 250.92 is for services, 250.97 for > 250 volts to ground...

Update. After discussion with this inspector, he acknowledged he was in error and accepted original installation. Thanks all for your support
Thanks for the update. It's nice to hear when inspectors can admit their mistakes.
