I flew through the Electrical P.E.,I was always good with numbers and yes i did understand the stuff rather well. But I am a really good Electrical Engineer? I don't think so. I wish I had worked 10 years as an Electrician!

Its ironic, I am a really good motorhead, I've been working with cars since i was 15, rebuilding/building Engines, some of them rather sophisticated. I intuitively understand cars and machinery, when i pull up to an intersection. I can run circles around our Diesel generator Engineers. I can often diagnose them just by listening to them..but Transformers, Fuses, Grounding, Electric Motors...whew...I dont think on that frequency..

What am I saying? To take full advantage of the Electrical PE? Work 10 years as an electrician!

In all of the states where I am registered, there is no such thing as an Electrical PE. Regardless what questions you answered when your took your test, you practice only in the disciplines/areas in which you are qualified. I know of many engineers that got their license then "apprenticed" in a new area before they felt they were qualified to include it as part of their practice.
