Is there a color standard for paint in the NEC for Electrical Enclosures?

The common light gray is ANSI 61, the common dark gray is ANSI 49.

The standard color for Square D equipment is ANSI 49 (their touch paint is #PK49SP).

Depends on which side of the pond you are on.

Our cabinets are usually light gray, but I have seen customer requests come thru for light green and orange. :cool:

The only time I cared whether it was 60 or 61 was in 1961, when Roger Maris set the single season home run record, surpassing some guy named Babe Ruth.:roll:

You can purchase a white panel box that says its for mobile homes at lowes or home depot. And I have seen the same box in the master bedroom of mobile homes. The last one I installed was a 200 a panel. So there must not be a code on has to be grey
