In an OSHPD job I added a 1" pipe to a trapeze in an electrical room. my inspector is telling me I can never add to a trapeze, as we are now overloading the weight of the trapeze. Is there a way to estimate the weight to show inspector the trapeze is still below maximum?
example: B-Line strut on 1/2" steel rod in concrete Robinson deck.
I found a section on seismic drawing saying 1/2" rod is rated at 808 pounds, and I found a chart showing 1" EMT is 1.6 pounds per foot with #6 wire in it, Is there a quick calculation I can do with that information?
