Tony S Senior Member Location Resting under the Major Oak UK Jun 7, 2016 #3 The only way to ensure a MV circuit is dead is by effectively earthing the conductors at both ends, many switches have this facility built in. I use hot sticks to prove dead before earthing the conductors to be worked on.
