....still here, since 2007 :) I'm 66 in a month, and I'm planning to stay employed for at least 5 more years. At least that's what my wife says! Actually, her exact words were "When you retire, you're gonna have to stop the $25 lunches". Little does she know the lunches are sometimes $50, because I love to eat, and because of COVID. The part of the job I most enjoy is giving 70E training classes, because I get to reach electricians with information that could save their lives. I do four classes a year for Capital Electric, in MD and NC. I also do classes if the client buys that service after we finish an Arc Flash Study for a client. ✌️(y) Fact is I'll probably stay connected to this forum until ....:)

As much as I love my wife (I really do) going to work everyday was not a bad thing in some (maybe a lot of) ways.

I've been here since 2001 but had to re-register like many when the software changed in 2003

There are days where we both probably wish I was at work.
She loves retirement and would never go back.
Me? I could probably go back if I wanted to for 2 or more days a week.
But after my last stay in the hospital I'd rather enjoy what time I have left than work.

So.... OK... yes, I am NOT a full electrician!
But.. I have been here quite a while, and I read every night.
As always, thank you folks!
And... hope to be here quite a while longer!!

Same here. Not a full blown electrician. Did a lot back in the early 80s. I have an unlimited license in SC,NC,and VA, but RARELY ever do any electrical work on the NEC side. Haven't done any this year. Utility side keeps me busy enough.
I read here a lot and flip through the code book to see what the smart ones here are talking about and to keep me halfway up to speed with the NEC.

I have been here a long time...the exact date is not available because all of that information was lost on one of the early software updates.

I spent a lot of time here in the mid 2000's and all of the names in the OP were/ are great contributors. I only check in a few time a year now. Iwire and Scott were/ are local to me. I ran into Scott in a gas station one day. The big box truck with his name on it was a great tip-off. I was out in his area buying some used sheet metal equipment. I wondered why Bob left here (Iwire) Big props to everyone mentioned in the OP, and everyone who participates now (and historically) and has chimed in here. I read far more than I post.

Last mention Iwire left the trade, and the forum after setting the record for 12,000+ posts. No rivals ever got close.

Maybe the novelty of top dog came to an end after being voted Chief Moderator, without other badges of honor available.

I was here back in 2000 I think. Then I went several years without and signed back a few years ago. It was nice to still see some familiar names.

I'm a bit of a neophyte; I have only been around here since 2010 or 2011, best I can remember

Yes, but I do remember when he had around 12,000 and nobody else was close, and Bob's posts were all of substance. (not saying other's aren't as well, but I've been on forums where members had 10k posts of nonsense or jokes. This isn't that type of site.)
Bright vixens jump, dozy fowl quack.

Ok good, all keyboard keys working. Just had to check, my keyboard was acting up. 😏
