So looking at the actuals, a 150 lb person has 6.12E18 J of equivalent energy so that would not be enough to throw the Earth out of orbit since you would need something on the order of E32 to E33 J (don't feel like looking up the Earth/Sun constants).

And the mass of the earth is about that of 10^23 people. So the process is really quite efficient, but the scale of the original assertion was way off.![]()
