I plan to add wiring to an older building (3 phase,wired with EMT & Flexable Metal Conduit, that I know of) to where our CHURCH plans to relocate. 1st, I wish to verify that Metal-Clad Cable: Type MC is permitted? 2nd, one existing run of conductors that I would tie onto, has the 3 phase conductors & shares 1 neutral. Any problems with this? Thanks--

Take a look at 330.10 for uses permitted for MC cable.

This would be a multiwire branch circuit. Out side of maybe some harmonic issues there should be no problem with a multiwire branch circuit provided it is sized properly.
