For the guy that was using invoice 2 go, do you have employees using it or just yourself? Just wondering that app looks pretty decent just don't know how it would work for employees.

For the guy who says punish the employees I don't agree with that. It is my business I hired them it is my job to make sure they know how to do theirs. I work with a HVAC company in my town that takes it out of their guy's checks if they forget something. I think that is wrong, and like the one guy said let them go if they cant do the paperwork don't take their pay.

Thanks for all the help so far!

i'm a one man band.... if you are gonna run trucks and guys, i'd
be looking at jim brush's system, it's tailor made for what you are trying to do.

i got an email requesting ballast changes, so i copied the request
from the email onto the invoice, tossed them in this morning,
as soon as the last one was in, i hit send.... the check will show
up next week.... then i mark it "paid in full" and send them another
one, adding "thanks for the work", and move on....

if i could find something better to use, i'd use it.
this little proggie works well, and a cool thing is,
if you are doing a field change or adder, you can
fill it out on the spot, you and the customer sign
it, you each get a copy in your email, and the
location where you signed it is embedded along
with the timestamp. you can't edit the quote
after it's been signed.

a notary would be better, but this isn't far from it.

funny part is, with quotes, when i hit send, it shows the
location i sent the quote from... a lot of quotes get done on the 405 freeway....

if you are an employee, it's illegal to "take it out
of their pay", in calif. and most other states.

i had a foreman on a union job no less, threaten
to do that, after he bolloxed up a lighting contactor
panel, and tried to blame it on me. he said that the
ballasts that burned up cost more than he owed me.....

and i was dating a title officer at the time, and i called
her up, gave her the scoop, she asked for the job address,
and it took about half an hour for the lien to be recorded.

no certificate of occupancy with an outstanding lein filed....
the issue was resolved, i was paid, and the foreman went
back to the hall.

best part was, he had to sign the book after me.

btw, the invoice to go thing syncs on a cloud, so you can
have the muppets fill out the billing, and then you add
the customer info and email it... then you can proofread
the invoice....

YOU open the ticket, and put the muppet's name on it who
is doing the work, he does the work, and you review it,
put the customers name on it, and you are good to go....

load it up and play with it a bit... it has modules, and
you can run it off an iphone quite nicely... i don't even
bother with the ipad much anymore for billing....
