Junction Box or Tapping box - city of chicago

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to know before submitting the plan that the city of Chicago will require 3 to 6 months for permits. Will the city of Chicago permit the tapping/junction box, or won't they? My friends said they wouldn't permit it, but he's unsure.

Assuming that you are speaking of a supply side connection, someone at the AHJ should be able to tell you if they are enforcing 230.46 or if they are invoking 90.4 to delay enforcement until compliant hardware is available. We are dealing with AHJs on both sides of that fence.
