Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, March 8th at 2 AM.
Be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour so you can wake up Sunday morning with one hours less sleep.

Great! I just finished setting my office clock back an hour from last fall.

danggit.

i was going to use emahlers tip from the last time change about sending reminders to your customers.

i had no idea we were approaching a time change again.

What is the life span of smoke detectors?

The ones in my house are original ... from the early 70's. One of them went off a few days ago because of shower steam and sounds terrible! I also had it not go off a few weeks ago when I decided to cook a pan on the stove (instead of the water that boiled out of it).

I'm thinking about buying new smoke detectors for the house. There's currently only one on the main level (which has the dining room, kitchen and bedrooms) and there's one downstairs in the living/rec room (it's a split level). I've seen some wireless detectors that can communicate with each other without wiring. These are not cheap! Our I could just go get standard battery units and not worry about the intercommunication.

Thoughts?

DST has been promoted to save energy. Last year DST started 3 weeks earlier, this was a unique opportunity to study the power usage of the grid (in California if I recall), there was negligible change.

So interesting I have to ask if you have links to this info.

I think I read, heard on the news that the "human" takes anywhere from one to two weeks to recover from this time change,
I know, I certainly will know that it's pass lunch time next week :?

Hahaha......I still have not figured out how to set the time in my chevy van, granted I have not done any research other than mashing buttons...:D

Well it's usually a hold and some second button, in most modern devices...

And I just adjusted the message machine... Date and Time ...
Be sure to speak up...:)
