Fryers are required to have pull off cords, they are held in place by magnets.

Thats true (the one I have is set up this way). I, personally, just don't like the requirement for the receptacle for situations like I've described. I would make a proposal to delete the requirement but I don't have a good alternative that the interior designers would go for... :roll:

When it comes right down to it, how often does one use that receptacle at the end of the peninsula ?
