I am just curious are not all kitchen supply fans required to have overload protection? Is their any that does Not have overload protection and in that case then manufacturer would provide MOCP, MCA?
They all are and for many years it was commonplace for the motors to be TP.
Seems the market got more competitive and some supplier used a less expensive motor with no internal.
Our plans review folks seldom, if ever, question and it's up to the inspector or electrician to catch it.
Unless the architect or your dept. does follow up it is likely to still be an item check in the field.
Best you can do is mark that motors need OL protection.

Right but what does overload protection is their or not have to do with MOCP and MCA or one uses article 430 to do motor breaker sizing?
