In an existing situation(panel), can an inspector make you remove knob & tube wiring because several conductors enter through a single opening per NEC ?
 
What Code section did the inspector quote?

Articles 398, 394 and 300 have a lot to say. . . as well as any local ordinance in effect were the wiring is situated.

That's a general answer for a vague question. Do you have a specific description of the assembly that includes "several conductors"?
