KO punch

Do you need a rectangular punch like for an old work box? Is this stainless steel?

Any one have an idea where to source one
We cut them in with a sazall, but you have to be very careful as the bezel does not cover much.
However if you have a lot of them to do, Greenlee makes square punches.

For future reference, these sort of controls are _usually_ 'DIN' sized, often '1/8 DIN', '1/16 DIN', etc.

A search the 'xx DIN punch' will get you what you are looking for.

For example:

The price for these punches can be shocking.

Apparently a DIN 192x192 mm size panel cutout became popular in the US, and then fractions of this cutout became prevalent... but Europe doesn't use the fractional sizes. I think I'm going to try to popularize the use of the dodecimeter (1/12 meter) in the US, just to annoy _everybody_.

If you have weird sizes/shapes that need to be cut out, find a shop with a CNC waterjet. I use our waterjet to cut enclosure doors all the time. We also built a jig so we can cut into the sides/top/bottom of electrical enclosures on the jet. Very handy for mounting all manner of connector through NEMA-style enclosures.
