Labored up 4/c #500 Vitalink MC cable that's 9,500 lbs per thousand feet. They are now using 1/C #500( which is more practical) and the weight of this is 2,600 lbs per thousand feet. So it's almost a 1/4 the weight of the 4/C. We don't have historical labor units for the 1/C but would you say the labor unit used for the 4/c should be reduced by at least half due to juist the weight reduction? Should it go in about 1/4 to 1/2 the time the 4/c would've taken? Thanks.

The 4 runs of 1-conductor 500 kcmil combined is heavier than the single 4 conductor cable.

Never pulled the stuff, but even though there is a weight reduction, you have to setup and pull 4 times now. I don’t know that you are necessarily saving time, but I’m sure the guys in the field will happy with 4 easier pulls opposed to one crappy one.

Depends on the difficulty of the pull. I would try 4 at once before opting for pulling individual runs.
Ever pull regular 1/c 500 mc cable that had good amount of horizontal distance? Sure that's unusual. Maybe for temp. If so approximately what was your production? # guys and how long for particular length.
