Landscape lights & dimmer

Power for landscape lights goes to a 1000 watt dimmer, then to Intermatic timeclock, then to

the fixtures. 6ea of the small quartz halogen fixtures. This setup has supposedly worked in the

past. If the dimmer is at half power, won't this make the time clock run half speed ?

Why not power time clock first, then dimmer. Thank You

No question about it. Time clock-- dimmer-- lights. I think the time clock would get 120v either way but I bet it would destroy the dimmer.
