It's the difference between a journeyman and a hack!

Not arguing the type of connector, arguing the ability to perform the job in a workmanlike manner....that thread job is hack by any measure!
 
HACK Doesn't even begin to describe this ignorance. Recommend that the guy contact a QUALIFIED Electrical contractor in the area.

Some of us old guys can't look any closer.... my nose is leaving spots on the screen and I still can't tell.

If I was sitting in the witness chair at a trial, I'd honestly have to say it's not EMT. But that's just my ancient eyesight.

It's all good, the antennas I spoke of also use the EMT as the supporting means and a raceway for a cable. :cool:

I do not think the NEC applies to that application, I just wanted to point out that EMT can be threaded and come out looking good. We have to screw the threaded EMT into a conduit LB.
 
Heard tht the Europeans had something like IMC light that they threaded, but not as light as EMT. Anyone know something about it?
 
I didn't get to respond yesterday because I was out of the office. MX, you are correct, it is threaded EMT done by a "qualified" individual. The position is for qualified individuals, the person in the position...
