Looking to get a small software package for laying out homes.
often I do renovations and have no drawings. I would like a be able to sketch out the rooms the. Put in the devices and wiring..14/2 12/2 14/3 etc and indicate home runs...then I can give this to my guys and they wire accordingly.
Right now it's drawn with paper and pencil along with a site visit by me when they start working. I want to streamline so I give them a print and box of material..less visits and confusion to clear up

you can always try autocad and sketchup, it will be easier for you to do your layout

For simple markups, i use Bluebeam on my iPad. It's $10; you can download additional symbols from their website. The directions on how to do this aren't clear, so what you have to do is download the symbol pack onto a computer and then email it to yourself. Open the attachment on your iPad and it will download into the blue beam program for you.
