I don't think there is a problem with the wet location - most PVC conduit bodies will be rated for wet locations, but accessibility for the "access fitting" could be an issue. That topic can get real interesting though as there are things that do get buried that require access, but often times they are in a manhole, handhole, etc, or covered with gravel or other coarse aggregate that is easier to remove to gain access.

I mainly install them in wet locations, rarely in dry locations.

Can you be more specific regarding underground. Do you mean buried by earth? or in a manhole or vault, etc?
Yes in the earth. No splices. Thing is, it goes to a wet nitch light.

314.29 requires accessibility without removing earth but there is an exception that might be worth a look.

I didn't look it up back in post 3, but that is the section with the information I mentioned there. If you bury it it needs to be in gravel or other "light aggregate" and may need to somehow identify the location as well.
