Thanks to this wonderfull forum, but what ever reason, I've come to the conclusion that my input is of no value from the last couple of days. So I will be leaving the forum for good. I guess its mostly character differences, I'm certainly not smart enough to figure it out for sure....:D Its un-fortunate because I've learned a wealth of knowledge here, and for that, Im greatfull..

The only thing I would like to say for a last statement, is that male pride, selfishness, and the hunger for more money, is at the heart of our Nations problems. And for me, I'm trying to be more community hearted in my business thoughts and decisions because of it.. I dont expect everyone to think like I do by a long shot, but I certainly am convinced that my thoughts have some merit.

So, Im finding that these abrasive discussions are not something I want to be a part of, as frankly I don't care for it, and it brings out the worst in me.......So take care of yourselves, and do it right, and learn all you can, because, just going to work every day for anything else is just wasting your talents and your time IMO

Cheers...............and don't worry, the door won't hit me in the butt...

Mule, I know you will do what you want to do but there really is no reason to leave.

Just go on living your life in the way that makes you happy, post your opinions here helping who those that want the help, learn from those that know things you do not. Just don't take it personally when some do not see things in the same way as you do.

It is a great forum, we all can learn things here.

I. for one, hate to see you go. I've certainly never had a problem with you. I've learned from your input and hope that you've been able to learn from mine. (or at least even laughed at one of my "hillbilly" jokes).

I've noticed that many of the individuals on this site are very firm in their opinions. I've also noticed that to the extent they are able to persevere in spite of the difficulty or opposition I throw up in front of them, well, that seems directly proportional to my abilitly to learn. If they "rolled over" too easily, or gave up on me, I wouldn't have learned, because I'm the kinda guy that has to hit a brick wall before I turn.

I recently tried to make "friends" with several on this site who did not respond in kind. At first I thought that since I had such respect for these individuals, it should be an easy decision for them to make. But I've learned that it's not about "me" and my respect for them. I think it's about them having the space and freedom from the burden of too close an association with peripheral forum users to freely be able to criticize their "distorted" code interpretations. An impartial ruling is far best. I agree.
Anyway, sorry to see you go. There are other sites on the web, but nothing even close to this one in MHO. Best of luck to you.

i'm taking my ball and going home.....gotta love it...

mule....you will do as you want, but announcing that you are leaving the forum is just a hope that someone will say "no, please don't go"

now, the topics i talk about, i happen to be correct on...but if everyone agreed with me, man i would be bored...

learn the correct ways from the incorrect ways, then you can knowingly dirsrgard the facts....

Mule, It's too bad that you are leaving.

All because of a few people that have different opinions.
There are some on this site that feel they have to respond to every post and mostly with a derogatory comment.

There are some that deserve respect on this board and some that are just blabbermouths. Just because they have a high post count is no reason for automatic respect.

I for one would like to see the post count removed from the messages.
That would help with some of the attitude and intimidation on this board.

Good luck, I hope that you at least lurk, and someday post again.

You cant selfishly leave me as the only farm animal left on the forum. How am I to defend myself with only 4 hooves???
Dont be so thin skinned.
We all have tooth marks on our buttocks here. Just remember as much as we all bicker and disagree No one person is as smart as all of us together.
Dont leave us now with all the holidays coming up so soon. Dont make us sad for the holidays.

I would be very happy if it just topped out at a 100 or so.

High enough to tell the newbies from the others.

If it makes sense, it's against company policy. :D

Mule,
I have been berated time and time again. I get over it, and keep on going. There is too much on this forum to learn from.
Chew the meat and spit out the fat & bones.

Most of all... DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY!

Take care,
Greg

All this forum is and always has been . . . take some and leave some. Take some information and wisdom, leave some information and wisdom. Add a bit of humor here and there. I have found that before I leave some, I usually verify that I am correct so I don't eat crow later (I don't like the flavor much). In the process of verifying, I generally learn something that I didn't know. I am not immune to being picked on and, at time, ridiculed. Lick your wounds and go on. Share information and you will benefit from the effort. If you do not wish to get into arguments . . . don't. The last time I checked, it took two.

Go if you must, a few will miss you, most will not. Not meaning to put you down, that is just the way it is. The more you become friends with, the more that will miss you. I have made a lot of posts but I would not really be missed for long by many if I left (OK guys, please do not comment about this sentence ). I would be missed for a long time by the ones that I am closer friends with (Bennie comes to mind, he passed away a few years ago

).

If we could vote, I would vote against you leaving the forum. Take care and good luck. If you come back, you will be welcome.

This kind of like a soap opera for dudes.... isn't it?

Yea, it is, but instead of skirts let's don kilts :D

Mule, I understand you completely. Your ways of life and thought were inspired a long time ago.

Your work is particular, type A kind of work, because if not, the pain of criticism is overwhelming. Interesting to take note of however, to most of the world, type B+ is plenty good enough.

The least painful conclusion for your pain of criticism, behind curtain #1 where Carol is in front of, is to be thrown out by Bob. And since that ain't gonna happen, you'll chose the box that Jay has in the isle, is that is to bail. "Say it ain't so Joe (Mule)"

I can vouch for another way. Been there. Done it.

I feel for ya Mule.
Good luck in life, and business.

Tony
