Anyhow, the net effect of 60 lm/W vs 80-90 lm/W in residential lighting would be like tweaking radiator fans on your car to reduce power usage.
Using specially designed fan blades, high efficiency motors and advanced motor control, you might cut cooling fan energy use by half. But the overall effect on vehicle fuel efficiency is diluted down so much by environmental variables and driving habits that its probably close to unnoticeable (just as replacing CFLs with LEDs.... power differences will get drowned out by weather/life style that affects HVAC usage)
