how long of a run from the breaker to 15 amp branch circuit for a bedroom is allowable by code on #14 wire,with out putting # 12 wire for a homerun

The NEC does not require a specific voltage drop before upsizing your wire. The nec recommends voltage drop to be 3% or less for a branch circuit, but is not required.(210-19a FPN 4)(1999 NEC)
For example if your circuit had a load of 6 amps and a distance of 75', your voltage drop would be just under 3%.

The code does not provide a maximum length. Voltage drop is not considered an issue within the scope of the code.

A good rule of thumb is to start considering voltage drop at around 100 ft. :)
