LFNC, poor choice or pro choice?

Exactly, the right product for the right place, as has been said above.

In solar, we have all sorts of odd situations on roofs. In many cases most installers leave the conductors exposed. So, when our UV rated PV wire or micro inverter cable is exposed for a few inches or feet, I cannot think of a better solution than LFNC as a sleeve. No fittings , no bonding bushings. It is just like a heavy duty second coating of plastic/pvc insulation.
I figure if it lasts only 10 years in the sun.....that just gave the wire insulation 10 extra years.

As long as we don't run appliance cords in metal conduit to an outlet:rolleyes: ....LFNC has its place.
