Liability insurance recommend

Work installed to code is either extremely reliable or fails in a safe and non threatening way. One of the reasons single trade contractor liability is very inexpensive. Mostly I only expect them to defend me from crazy and unjust, false claims, not payout for work I performed.

Has not happened to me but the general expectation is the insurer will use any reason to not pay. Took 1 1/2 years to get reimbursed for my mailbox that got hit even with the driver self reporting the accident. I suspect even doing work with no permit may void the insurer's coverage as illegal work. It's worth checking that regarding service and repair calls, where they draw that line. The insurer knows that answer.

If you only install wiring to boilers you have a different liability risk factor then if you run the boiler piping. If it is high pressure system or if the burner is over a certain capacity you also have different liability risk factors, and likely different licensing (non electrical licensing) requirements as well.

Thats what I was getting at. Not the electrical end.
