FWIW, I asked at the hall and was told that you can't have a business permit when seeking work. If you are employed you can have the permit, you just can't have it while on the referral list.

And as you mentioned earlier JES2727, at a time like this no one is going to give much trouble.

So if you already have a job you can hold a license and have an active business permit but if you're unemployed and waiting for a job you can't? Is that an IBEW rule or just a local regulation?

ANYONE can hold a license.

If you sign the list you are not supposed to have an active business permit.

As for the rule, you gotta ask your BA ;)
