I noticed on the last workman's comp policy renewal a 149 dollar surcharge for some sort of terrorism risk fund. I meant to ask if that was optional or not (like the 1 dollar donation on your 1040), but I forgot about it until just now.

Not sure its the same for everyone, but on my policy it was optional. I didn't take it. If anyone is hurt or the job is destroyed by terrorism, you're not covered unless you have that separate terrorism insurance. At least its that way w/ Columbia Ins.

I went to Broward Counties site and didn't see this option.

I did it with the state. Don't know about locals.

I just renewed my RI licenses and if I did it online it would cost me a $3.50 service charge. I mailed it in and it only cost $0.42 for a stamp.
