The State itself has two classes of license: a C-E which is the electrical contractors license and a LLE which is a limited license electricians license. Work valued at > 25K must be done under a C-E license holder but the license holder is not required to be present at the job.
The State does not have a Journeyman license so the employees of the license holder do not actually hold any license.
The kicker comes in that almost all the major municipalities have their own requirements. I don't think any of them recognized the LLE license but by law they have to honor the CE license.
They can still require you to hold and BUY their respective licenses but can not require testing (if you have a C-E.). You are required to abide by the rules of that jurisdiction.
