Lien waiver

Who cares if you can go to court and fight to get paid if you sign a lien waiver w/out getting paid? Just don't sign one until you do. Simple.

Sign a conditional lien waiver if it makes the GC or owner happy.

Has anyone ever had a contractor ask you to hand in a signed copy of a lien waiver with every invoice submitted? New contractor working on a customers house is requesting me to do this. Thoughts?

What does your contract with the GC say about it?

If they’re using a standard AIA contract, it’ll be part of the pay request section.
