This's light fixture with battery backup 2 black wire, one labeled emergency circuit should be constant hot and another black wire should be switch leg.
If I want to use the fixture 24/7 as egress light, can I join both black wires with the ungrounded branch circuit?or only the black labeled emergency circuit and the other black wire cap it off?
Thanks in advance

You could just leave it wired the way it is. The EM black wire just carries voltage to the EM ballast and battery. The EM light will only come on at loss of power. Or if you want to use that light, you would have to bypass the EM ballast & disconnect the battery. If it's a multi tube fluorescent light, depending on the ballast, you may be able to add the EM tube in with the others. If the ballast is only rated for the amount of regular lighting tubes, you would have to change the ballast for the number of tubes you want to run.

All this is for fluorescent lights. If the light is something else, then tell us what kind it is.

It's LED light fixture with the battery and driver and come with two black wires, one is labeled emergency circuit and the other black should be switched wire (switch leg). My questions is: can I splices those 2 wires together with the hot wire branch circuit to use the fixture night light 24/7?

What about if I only splice the hot wire branch circuit with the black wire labeled emerg circuit and cap off the other black wire? Still the fixture is work all the time on like 24/7?
