We rarely get calls for flickering lights. IDK if I have priced myself out of that market or it is not that common in my area due to a mostly adequate power grid.

It seems that most of the recent questions now concern LED and not the typical VD of a motor start.
Have your calls gone up, dropped, or not changed?

Retired and worked industrial settings so only 'calls' I get are problems at church or preschool.

That said, most folks by know to expect incandescent light flicker with big load starts, or even microwave oven cycling on lower than full power settings. The 'new user' recently closed apparently did not even know that flicker aspect?

Thus, most recent call was when a number of LEDs started flickering about 6 months after installation.
Church has fancy central Lutron dimmers. Put a scope on the line - max on time of those controls about 75 degree. The LED of the 20 some watt Edison base lamps were flickering. LED inverter capacitors did not like the high dv/dt at the 15 degree turn on delay transient and were failing, and inverter was unstable, was also room and lamp temperature dependent.
Returned to using halogen bulbs in those locations.

That may be one of the reasons flicker calls may now be mostly LED related?
