My kids and I were walking around at an after hours care clinic while my wife was inside being seen. It was impossible for me not to see this right next to the parking spots. All the poles were basically like this. I got an email for the manager (politely I may add). I just wanted to drop them a friendly line warning them about this. The biggest issue to me is the missing cover. I see covers missing all over the place but this one being a couple feet from a parking space bothered me more than most. Also, there's NM-B cable inside the light pole. You probably can't tell from the photo but it had just rained and all the wiring was wet. I don't deal with NM cable in commercial but from the looks of it, it can only be used in dry locations. Is this right? Also, assuming the light pole actually had the hand-hole cover installed (like they rarely are), and the wires weren't wet (like they were), could the inside of a light pole be considered a dry or damp location? I realize the inside of a raceway in a wet location must be considered a wet location. I would assume the same is true of a pole.
