I was asked today if light poles in a parking lot needed to be individually fused. I said no. Is this a requirement. And no these lights are not on a 50A ckt or a feeder situation.

Not required but might be in specs and is good idea.

Tell them that its required, you require it. It will save them from getting sued for ahving a dark parking lot

useally not required have fused on the indiviual luminaires but it will be wise idea espcally if you have large numbers of luminaires.
it can be pain in the butt try to troubleshooting the unfused luminaires and time comusing to track it down which one is bad one.
with new parking lot luminaires i useally installed the inline fuse holders because it will only take out the bad one and leave the rest on until sheduled at convent time.
