Lighting contactor installation

Need to feed a lighting contactor 30 amp breaker with 10 gauge wire and from the load side of the lighting contactor number 6 gauge wire because of voltage drop is this against NEC thanks for your support.

Not at all. Done is many times. I have #4’s going about 1,000 feet for a pole light at a remote lot. 15 amp circuit…

It's okay if the terminals are rated for #6. if not, just splice the #6 to short pieces of #10 first.
