I am looking into giving a price on changing out high bay HID fixtures to LED.

The current set up has each fixture hardwired into a 4" sq box with 14/3 SO cord.

Is a disconnect means required at the fixture if the panel supplying power is not within sight?

In looking through article 410 I can't seem to find it.

Thank you.

I’ve been working on projects with several thousand LED replacement fixtures and the brand I’m using (Cree) does not include a disconnect.
Speaking with our local AHJ, he sites the wording “fluorescent luminaires that utilize double-ended lamps and contain ballast(s) that can be serviced in place shall have a disconnecting... which he interprets to not include LED.
Im still including them in most, but not all fixtures just for my safety and convenience in future driver replacements but I’m the master for our many schools and I don’t have to bid or worry about bottom line profit.
