Replacing sports field light fixtures. What exactly is meant by this...what's involved?

If the old fixtures were HID, probably incandescent backup with timer for restrike. New fixtures wireless control?

If they are electrically held relays you will have to jumper them out.
If they are mechanically held you can move them to the on position and then remove the power to their coils.

Yeah, I was thinking that. Perhaps the author knew they were mechanical, but I would bypass anyway to remove a potential future failure point. Alwayslearningelec, this means removing the wires from the contactor and splicing them together.

May be a “foreign” engineer, that doesn’t understand our language terms too well. I’ve had issues understanding India Indian engineers on what they want. Some things they do over there, we can’t here.
