Dear Friends,

I am specifying the lightning protection and grounding of the equipment inside classified area. I was wondering if there is a difference in parts between classified (Hazardous) area and non classified area. Can use the same parts( cables, ground rod, air terminals and so on) for Lightning Protection and equipment grounding that I use in unclassified (non hazardous area)?

I would more appreciate your comments if you support it with code articles. Please send me if you have example standard drawings that call the parts.

Thanks a lot.

The general provisions of Chapter 4 of the NFPA 780 will apply + the additional requirements found in Chapter 7.

Thank you I think you meant chapter 6 of NFPA 780. Does that cover for grounding too since the title of NFPA 780 is "Lightning Protection"?
