Lights buzzing when dimmed

Will a ELV dimmer generally get rid of humming?

Mfgr cut sheet for this particular fixture lists no ELV.
I’ve tried the product they list and it hums excessively.

At $130.00 I’d hate to just “try” it and not have it work.

Are the lights rated dimmable? I have been seeing that some manufacturers list as "dimmable" when they are not.

Some old decorator incandescent bulbs will hum when dimmed, no way around it.

Does the spec sheet indicate what type of dimmer works best....... Forward Phase, Reverse Phase?

You kind of never know, it really doesn't matter what the manufacturer says or what somebody else says worked for them it's all really a shot in the dark to get something that has no buzzing. As an example, had a client that was annoyed at buzzing, he got the expensive lutron dimmer to try it (is that the reverse phase one?) It worked and all buzzing was gone.....but, then I added an LED driver to the same circuit, but not on the load side of that dimmer, and the buzzing was back.
