About what ever good contracting business should net, just what any company needs to have medical, dental, and vacations, and truck and equipment replacement.

I work alone, definitely less headaches, probably less money overall but also less overhead.:D

Why would you have less money overall, working alone, with little overhead, should give you a larger profit.

If you have 10 guys working for you then your going to make more money, If not then you don't know how to run a business, otherwise we would all work alone.

10-guys can make you money, but then

You better keep them busy, or profits go away very fast.

When things are marginally slow, in order to keep the help you will probably bid a lot tighter. The men will sense the lack of work and will probably (subconsciously) slow down making the chance of making a profit less.

You have a better chance for theft, and a harder time catching them.

Benefit packages start coming into play. If you have good people you need to take care of them.

Keeping all of them working effectively is a full time job.



Sometimes working alone can be very beneficial and rewarding. It's all in what you want in life/work.

Some EC's work alone by choice.

Like I said, working alone allot less headaches.:D

Thats why I work allone, By choice
