Im curious as to anyone know of a the 'accepted' way to test the alarm on line iso monitors, ground fault testing??

The way ive been shown is to use a solinoid tester (ie wiggy) and put one lead to one conductor and another lead to ground on the receptacle. is this the best way to test them?? The alarm does go off, but just being sure of the accepted way to test them.

Seems like the load ought to have a more scientific calibration, closer to the lower limit of the the alarm. Something along the lines of a calibrated decade box.
