I know it's a long shot but I was wondering if anyone had a pic of this or something similar. I know what it is and needs to be done but I like to see too. It's a 150a feeder that's being tapped. Could the tap take place in the panel with an Ilsco type tap block or panel feeder conduit has to be cut back and boxed for tap to take place in box? Thanks

The best option (IMO) is to use 2-hole or 2-wire-rated lugs on the main breaker. Lugs, if not furnished w/panel, must be a listed option.

Short of that being viable, the tap block is next best option, whether in one panel or an intercepting j-box is your choice.

Thanks...whether in the panel where the feeder lands or a separate j-box is a labor diff.
