I have a delima with an inspector. I ran a 8/3 w/grnd romex from a breaker panel to the outside of a house to a junction box. I went from that j-box with carflex accross under a wooden deck, benath a set of stairs, under a wooden walkway, up another set of stairs to a breaker box. I have a main in the house for the sub feeders in this conduit and a GFCI 2 pole breaker in the sub-panel at the hot tub. I have a 6 foot carflex pigtail to the hot tub. My inspector is telling me that I am only allowed a 6 foot piece of carflex to the hot tub whether it be on feeder side of the sub panel or load side of the sub-panel. He is quoting 680.42 A 1 as the rule for this determination. I am looking at 680.25 which says I can run the carflex, and then the ruling in 356.10 (5) which allows me to run what ever footage I need to as long as I strap in accordance with 356.30. Am I missing something here?
