We buy full spools of anything that size and if P/L depends on that 3', he did a good job on that estimate.

I don't think I will ever be perfect (or even very good) at estimating. I have gotten a lot better. I usually am almost spot on for the materials, it's the labor that bites me in the tuccous! So I try to get at least the materials as close as I can.
