Hi,

I am a mechanical guy who just been asked to look into an electrical installation and need some help. We have roughly 30 freezers (208VAC, 6.5A full load) that needed to be relocated to a new part of our plant. The freezers are -80C freezers. Once they reach temperature, the compressors in them turn on/off to maintain the temp. Since we use these for master stocks, the on/off duration is fairly short as we do not get into these at all.
I would like some help or direction how to size a 480VAC (primary) to 208VAC (secondary) and associate breaker panel to feed these. As well as breaker size. I am trying to read the NEC but as I am not educated in Electrical a lot of it just went right pass me. deration factor? etc..etc..

I am willing to learn and thus any link , explanation, procedures.. to do this would be most welcome. Our electrician quit and left some of his project for me to do so please help.

Thank you in advance.

If you electrician left it to you, then the best advice I can give you is to find another electrician. It's admirable you want to learn this, but (No offense)you're in way over your head here.

Your best bet is to get another licensed electrician. You probaly have to have a licended electrician.
