reading through 680, i cant seem to find anything regarding how close a loadcenter can be located to a in ground pool. i am aware that anything within 5' needs bonded, would that be including the loadcenter?
thanks

I do not believe you will find anything in the NEC specific to your situation, however 110.26, 312 and 408 contain guidelines that should all be met. As well as interpretation I guess, is a breaker a switching device? I too would be interested to see other opinions.

Yes 680.22(D) Switching Devices applies. The notes to this section in the 2008 Handbook starts "Panelboards containing circuit breakers, time clocks, pool light switches and similar switching devices....". The answer is 5 feet.
