The 2Va/sq foot in table 220.12 was only intended for general lighting in hospital occupancy how about for equipment in hospital like in the operating room or x-ray room or ancillary area.

It sounds rather improbable making a generalization of unit loading in such an environment. Is there a similar facility design to which you are building? The obvious process, procure an equipment list, determine the load requirements and room area; the rest is self explanatory.

Has anyone heard of a derivation of table 220.12, is it based on survey data, from when, who's?
